VIth Form Broad Street Social - 28th March 2001 PSJD: "And now we have a social report - as always, we shall reserve our applause until the end..." "29th March 2001 was the last day of the Easter Term. As now traditional, a sixth form social to Broad Street was organised the night before. "The evening started well, with some enthusiastic participants arriving as early as 1:30pm. By 7pm, the England vs. Albania match was being watched by many in the Sports Café. After England won 3-1, most members of the sixth form moved on to StoodiBakers.Mellow where individuals proceeded to consume alcoholic beverages. "The evening's 'banter' was up to its usual standard and it wasn't long until the first pull of the evening between Amy Carr and Guy Fletcher. Subsequently, Amelia Pearman and Kathryn Wells both fell just one short of a hat-trick each. "Thanks go to Oliver Drury for arranging the trip and to the yeast for converting sugar into alcohol." <APPLAUSE>
